Isabelle Simard
Ceramicist
I like to make ceramics without having to make 1000 of the same pieces. The process is different from mass production: Each collection must be thought out and reflected upon and I believe that developing an idea takes time and that refusing to mass produce is a gesture of resistance. This is why I need to branch out from ceramics and share my daily life between horticulture and floristry. They allow me to reprogram myself in a daily life where everything goes too fast and to get away from performance.
I want to be in the present moment like a season that is constantly renewing itself.
